Grooms wear for the big day

Just like the Bridal Wedding Dresses, grooms wear also undergoes ample of changes from season to season. The styles of suits and accessories have tremendously changed from the time our parents and grand-parents tied the knot, up until the present day weddings. Choosing the right style of suiting and trimmings for your wedding day is a combination of different factors such as the season of the year, the style of wedding celebration, color palette, and lastly one’s own personal style and inclination.

SUIT STYLES: An inexpensive but impeccably cut suit will look like a million bucks, although if the suit is ill-fitted and drab how much ever is paid for it, it will never look its money’s worth. When choosing the right style of suit the first and most important question a groom must ask himself is, what style of suit would be an ideal match for the nature of the occasion?     Tuxedo

Tuxedo:

Every guy wants to look his best and wear Classic black tie event ensemble, the classic tuxedo is meant for weddings that take place after dark. Although sometimes can be worn for very formal morning ceremonies. Add a touch of elegance to it by wearing it with a black bow tie and a cummerbund. One can never go wrong with a proper fitted tuxedo.     Morning Suit

Morning Suit:

With its characteristic and time-honored design, this classic style of suit pertains to the most posh of morning and afternoon wedding ceremonies.       American Suit

American Suit:

A bit baggy in the shape. This style of suit is more suitable for the not so formal occasions or destination weddings. Also considering the slightly looser cut, these suits are a good option for day weddings that go on a longer time.     British Suit

British Suit:

This type of suit is alternatively known as the British Traditional. The British suit is slightly more defined and cut closer to the body than the American suit. Taking into account the cut and shape, this type of suit is ideal for the average built man as it is not too baggy or slim fitted.         Italian Suit

Italian Suit:

The trendiest suit of the three styles, the Italian suit has a very slim, sleek and modern fit. Ideal for men with a tall and lean built as the fit is narrow and cut close to the body. This modern and trendy style of suit is opted for by many on a dressy formal wedding or by a groom who absolutely won't wear a tuxedo.

Classic fit

SUIT FITS:

Classic fit:

The more common and traditional fit between the three types; the classic fit leaves more room in the body and shoulder parts of the jacket. Suitable for those guys who are more on the average and stout sides and akin to choosing a looser fitted suit.       Modern fit

Modern fit:

A fairly newer cut and fit in the market, also known as the contemporary fit suit. They minimize the size of the upper torso and can also add height to a person. These suits are mainly flattering for someone who is short with a smaller torso.     Slim fit

Slim fit:

Also known as the skinny fit, these suits have been trimmed and altered in all areas to fit the body shape perfectly. It provides a fairly dapper and elegant look to the groom on his wedding day.           ADD ON’S:

Pocket Squares and Button Holes

Pocket Squares and Button Holes:

If you’re not the groom or part of the wedding party, a button-hole also known as “boutonniere” is a complete no-no! But then one can simply experiment more with pocket-squares. They simply let one play up and add a bit of personality and charisma to the suit.             Tie and Bow

Tie/Bow:

A tie or a bow tie is a must have for a groom’s ensemble. However choosing between the two is completely a personal choice. Choose a Bow Tie for a more sophisticated and trendy look. Especially on a tuxedo, a slim fit or an Italian suit, a bow tie is a nice alternative for a tie that adds a dapper and classic appeal. A tie on the other hand, is still widely preferred by many men. However a narrow tie will give a more charming and classy look than a wide tie.       ACCESSORIES AND JEWELRY (CUFFLINKS, WATCH AND RING): ACCESSORIES AND JEWELRY WATCH: A wrist watch is the most important and alluring accessory for a man. The bigger the size, the more eye-catching it is. Keep it classic with an oversized metal rimmed watch that can add just the right amount of elegance and charm without making it look to flashy. CUFFLINKS: A sophisticated pair of cufflinks is an essential piece of jewelry for a groom’s ensemble. It is a great way to append some personal style to a suit or dress shirt. Cufflinks can be customized and designed as per the man’s personal preference or can also be engraved specifically for his wedding day. RINGS: Stylish and elegant wedding rings are a popular choice for those who are about to tie the knot or are recently engaged. In today’s equitable world no man is lagging behind when it comes to adding a little zing or bling to their ensemble. The recent upsurge of engagement rings for men has lead to a noticeable percentage of men opting to wear Man-Gagement” rings.   This is our take on how to pick the right suit for your wedding and the way to add just the right amount of accessories without making it look over the top. Not to forget that when done correctly, you will never look better than you do suited up. Just remember keep it simple and Classy!
